Friday through Sunday, January 27th – 29th

Movie magic, ice, a live demonstration, and more – Bethany Beach will be a prime location for a whole host of fun festival activities throughout the entire weekend.

Friday, January 27th  (12 pm to 8 pm)

  • Ice Rink: Lace up your skates- the ice rink returns! Sponsored by Bethany Beach Books & The Book Drop, everyone is welcome to take a few laps on the ice in downtown Bethany.
  • Information Tent – 3 pm to 9 pm:Find out about everything Fire & Ice.

Saturday, January 28th 

  • Information Tent – 12 pm to 8 pm: Find out about everything Fire & Ice.

  • Signature Photo-op Tent – 12 pm to 8 pm
  • Cascading Carlos – 1 pm to 5pm: Come out at see Cascading Carlos in Bethany Beach.
  • Music at the Rink – 4 pm to 8 pm: Dj Brian Baull will be by the ice rink in the afternoon.
  • Walk of Fame Ice Tour – 5 pm to 9 pm: Starting at 5:00 PM, check out all the sculptures in town by taking a “Walk of Fame” on the Ice Tour! Pick up a festival map at the information tent to make sure you see them all! There is over 50,000 pounds of ice coming to The Quiet Resorts, all masterfully crafted by the artists from The Ice God! Watch as the ice sculptures are unveiled and illuminated with lights as the sun sets.
  • LED “Jaws” Light Show – 5 pm to 9 pm: “We’re going to need a bigger boat”
  • Live Ice Demonstration – 5 pm: The Ice God will host a Live Ice Demonstration at the stage on Hollywood Street sponsored by Bethany Beach Ocean Suites and Hotel Bethany Beach. Watch as 10 Blocks of ice are transformed into a detailed sculpture.
  • Movie Night at the Bandstand – 5:30 PM: while Jaws plays on the big screen at the bandstand, don’t miss the big reveal of the Bethany Beach Signature Ice Sculpture, weighing in at 2,400 pounds, sponsored by the Town of Bethany Beach. 
  • Live “Matrix” Stunt Show – 7:30 pm: Round out festivities with a professional stunt show on the Boardwalk

*Due to beach access, size, and replenishment projects there will no longer be fireworks at this year’s event

Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery Happenings – Frankford

Stop by Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery, located at 32512 Blackwater Rd. in Frankford, for live music, wine tastings, and more. Friday will be a big red-carpet-kickoff with the “Walk of Fame” Ice Tour, featuring a 900 pound ice luge that you won’t want to miss.

  • Ice Luge (Noon)Take a red carpet ride on our 900 pound ice luge that will be revealed on Friday!

  • Live Music with DJ Scott – 4 pm to 9 pm: Sponsored by Tansy Warner, DJ Scott will be onsite keeping the spirit of festivities flying high all afternoon and evening.

A portion of sales will be donated to Santa’s Letters a local charity committed to bringing “joy to the lives of countless families and help to change lives, spread love, and create a ripple effect throughout our generous community.”

Town of Ocean View Happenings – John West Park

The Town of Ocean View is hosting a number of fun festival activities throughout the entire weekend. Take a trip to visit the beautiful John West Park in Ocean View, located at 32 West Ave, Ocean View, DE 19970, for even more sculptures and activities!

Friday, January 27th 

  • Information Tent 12 to 8 pm:  Find out about everything Fire & Ice.
  • Winter Maze – 12 pm to 8 pm: Explore the Labyrinth-themed Winter Maze at John West Park, sponsored by True North, from day until dark.
  • Beer Garden – 12 pm to 8 pm:Beach Liquors will be sponsoring a Hitchcock-themed Beer Garden at John West Park. Proceeds will benefit Beebe Healthcare’s South Coastal Emergency Department and Cancer Center. Otherside Beverage will be pouring Burley Oak Brewing Company and First State Brewing from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Visit Beach Liquors to sign up for email updates and information on tastings!
  • Smashmouth Burgers Food Truck – 12 pm to 8 pm: “The best burgers aren’t made. They’re smashed!” Grab a delicious bite cooked to order from Smashmouth Burgers at John West Park on Friday and Saturday!
  • Taco Reho Food Truck – 12 pm to 7 pm: Grab some great food from the Taco Reho Food Truck.
  • Live Radio Broadcast – 3 pm to 5 pm: Radio host Dana McDonald from 97.1 The Wave will be covering the Fire and Ice Festival kickoff live on the radio from John West Park.
  • Hot Beverages & Baked Goods – 4 pm to 9 pm: Enjoy hot drinks and food from Local Coffee Roasting Co.
  • Live Ice Demonstration – 5 pm t0 6 pm: There will be a Live Ice Demonstration at 5:00 PM at the Gazebo sponsored by The Town of Ocean View. Watch as 1,800 pounds of ice are transformed into a detailed sculpture.
  • “Walk of Fame” Ice Tour – 5 pm to 9 pm: Starting at 5:00 PM, check out all the sculptures in John West Park by taking a “Walk of Fame” Ice Tour! Watch as the ice sculptures created by the talented artists of The Ice God are unveiled and illuminated with lights as the sun sets.
  • Movie Night in the Park – NotoriousGrab some popcorn and enjoy a big screen showing of the 1946 Hitchcock classic spy film! (5:30 pm)

Saturday, January 28th

  • Information Tent – 11 am to 4 pm:  Find out about everything Fire & Ice. 
  • Beer Garden – 11 am to 4 pm: Beach Liquors will be sponsoring a Hitchcock-themed at John West Park. Proceeds will benefit Beebe South Coastal Emergency Center and Cancer Center.  Dewey Beer Company will be pouring some delicious tastings from 12:00 PM – 3:00PM. Millville Boardwalk Happenings – Millville

Enjoy dazzling ice sculptures, toasty bonfires, Disney Karaoke, a live demonstration, children’s arcade games at Captains Quarters, Lighthouse Mini Golf, and a featured “Lights. Camera. Action!” themed ice cream from Agape Creamery! This is the place to be for the kickoff to a full weekend of movie magic and fun for the whole family.

Friday, January 27th 

  • Information Tent – 4 pm to 8 pm: Find out about everything Fire & Ice.
  • Live Ice Demonstration “Cars” – 4 pm: A live demonstration sponsored by Billy Reese with State Farm will begin at 5 PM. Watch as the movie “Cars” is brought to life by the artists from The Ice God.
  • Bonfire, Fire pits, & S’mores – 4 pm to 8 pm: Stay warm by enjoying some s’mores and bonfire hosted by and benefitting Millville Volunteer Fire Department.
  • “Walk of Fame” Ice Tour – 4 pm to 8 pm: Free to the public, start out your weekend with the Fire & Ice “Walk of Fame” Ice Tour by checking out thousands of pounds of ice that have been transformed into some of your favorite memories from the big screen.
  • Fire Truck – 4 pm to 8 pm
  • Snow Machine – 4 pm to 8 pm
  • Meet the Character from “Frozen” – 4 pm to 8 pm: Meet Elsa and her friends, from Frozen, and get a picture taken with her and a beautiful 1,800 pound ice scene from the movie. “Let it go” by joining the fun for a night of Disney Karaoke on the stage! Karaoke and photo opportunities with Elsa.
  • Disney Karaoke – 4 pm to 8 pm: Join a fun night of Disney Karaoke in the Lodge!
  • Movie Themed Ice Cream Flavors – All Weekend

Chili Cookoff , Millville, DE

Saturday, January 28th – NO ONSITE TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE so order yours today! 

Celebrate the action-packed Fire & Ice weekend by taking advantage of a little friendly competition  and warm up at the Chili Cookoff.  Proceeds will benefit the Millville Volunteer Fire Company. A limited number of tickets will be offered for two separate time slots to ensure that everyone is able enjoy the same experience of raffles, beverages, and some of the best chili in the area.

Time Slot 1: 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
Time Slot 2: 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM

Ticket Includes: Up to 25 Chilis to taste, cornbread and saltines, your choice of beverage (water, soda, tea), cash bar, ice sculpture, music, ice cream and more! Tickets also serve as raffle tickets towards a great prize. All ticket sales will benefit Millville Volunteer Fire Company.

Bays Benefit – Fenwick Shores

Come relax in your best Tommy Bahama shirt and warm up on Fire & Ice Weekend at Bernie’s with a fun event benefitting the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays. Fenwick Shores will be hosting this limited, ticketed event.  Food will be provided by Matt’s Fish Camp in Fenwick and libations will be provided by the Brew masters from Ocean View Brewery.

Clayton Matinee – Clayton Theater

What’s a Hollywood-themed festival without a chance to go to the movies? Sponsored by Heather’s Home Works, the charming Dagsboro Clayton Theatre will be showing matinees on Sunday January 29th. Ice sculptures will be on site. Visit the Clayton Theatre website to learn more about Delaware’s only single-screen theater. Proceeds will benefit the theater. Tickets can be purchased here.

Join the Fire & Ice Drink Tasting Tour throughout the Festival weekend. Pre-purchase a Tasting Tour Card for $30 online and pick up at the John West Park Information Hub on Friday, January 27th from 12 pm to 8 pm. Visit all participating restaurants with your Tasting Tour Card to taste their signature Fire & Ice “Lights, Camera, Action!” themed cocktails. The card will be honored throughout the weekend. In addition to the drink tasting, stay and view the unique ice sculptures, and enjoy access to various exclusive food specials.
