Can you believe it? This past Sunday marked the first day of the fall, officially ending the summer beach season. It might not feel like it just yet, but before long, the temperatures will begin to drop and the trees will transform to bright red, orange, and yellow. Here are a few of our favorite activities that our Bayside residents can enjoy in the fall!
Play a Round of Golf
Fall is one of the best times of the year to play golf. The weather is cool and comfortable, the summer rush has slowed down, and the scenery is truly breathtaking. You can play with friends or set out by yourself, but when playing on our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, you’re sure to have the perfect day.
Bake Something Tasty
Get in the mood for the fall season by baking your favorite apple or pumpkin pie recipe. Nothing warms up a home quite like the sweet smell of cinnamon and pastries. And, not far from our community are tons of produce markets – all selling the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season. You can even share your baked goods with a friend or neighbor!
Whether you carve a pumpkin or set mums on your front doorstep, decorating for the season is always a fun undertaking that the whole family can enjoy. The fall decorations will only add to your beautiful Bayside home!
Fly A Kite
Okay, okay – it seems a little odd. But trust us, flying a kite on the beach after the summer crowds have left town is a great way to spend the afternoon. Cozy up in something warm and hit the breezy coast to fly your favorite kite. You won’t believe how much fun you’ll have. At Bayside, we’re only four miles to the ocean, meaning you can head to the beach anytime you please.
Plan A Day Trip
We’re lucky that Delaware is filled with so many wonderful historic sites and landmarks. With so much to see, one day might not be enough! Take some time to drive around and indulge in Delaware’s history – the changing leaves set a beautiful scene for a road trip!
We hope you love the fall season just as much as we do. The Bayside community welcomes the season and looks forward to the fall activities yet to come!
