Do you have problems falling asleep, staying asleep and/or early morning awakenings at least 3 nights a week despite adequate opportunities for sleep?  If you answered yes, you might have insomnia.  According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) a third of US adults report that they usually get less than the recommended amount of sleep. Not getting enough sleep can shorten your life expectancy, increase risk of medical conditions (obesity, heart disease, high blood pleasure, strokes, etc.), increase your risk of accidents, impair your thinking, lower your energy level and increase your risk of mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety.

In this workshop you will learn traditional cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia and scientifically proven techniques that you can start implementing right away. Carolyn Showell will also share mindfulness techniques for sleep.

Carolyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Gambling Addictions Counselor, a Certified Hypnotherapist, a Certified Emotional Freedom Technique and Certified Thought Field Therapy Practitioner, a Certified Humanistic Neurolinguistics Psychology Practitioner, and a Certified Neurolinguistics Programmer with over 20 years working with children, youth, adults and families.
