Join Bayside’s Director of Recreation, Steve Telscher, to begin (or continue) your fitness journey! Steve has a passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals – no matter how big or how small. This one-hour session will begin in the multipurpose room, where Steve will cover basic form and function for lifting weights and why proper form is important to reduce your risk of injury. The second portion of class will move to the fitness floor where there will be opportunity for interaction with weights and equipment. Dress comfortably!
This class is perfect for those returning to exercise, for complete beginners, or for those wanting to double check their form. “Lifting weights” can mean anything from a 5-pound dumbbell to a 35-pound dumbbell, and everywhere in between, all abilities welcome!
Although this class is offered free of charge, we ask that you preregister as space is limited to 12 attendees.
