Join us as we celebrate the many shapes of the season, inspired by the contours of traditional holiday favorites like ribbons and colorful confectionery, and by the figures of nature from pine cones to snowflakes. Outdoors, stroll among illuminated trees, glowing orbs, and a shimmering tunnel of lights. Take in a light show set to music by the Large Lake and enjoy our Main Fountain Garden’s choreographed “fountain” performance in an homage to the season. Your ticket price includes transportation, entrance fee, and private guided tour ticket.

2:30PM – Meet for The Longwood Story Tour (one hour)
Guided group tours are an excellent way to experience the garden legacy of our founder, Pierre S. du Pont. During The Longwood Story Tour, you will explore the seasonal highlights of Longwood’s diverse gardens while learning about our heritage and horticultural excellence. Designed to tell the story of how one man’s vision turned Longwood into one of the great gardens of the world, this tour is perfect for first-time visitors and frequent guests alike.
3:30PM to 6:00PM – Enjoy free time to wander the gardens
During this time, sing-a-long to seasonal organ in the ballroom (4:00PM), enjoy the harmonies of The Old Towne Carolers strolling throughout the gardens (4:30 to 8:30PM), and watch in awe as the fountains dance to holiday classics (weather-permitting). Turning on before sunset, watch the garden come alive with the twinkle of beautiful light displays!
