Delaware real estate had a good year – there’s no doubt about that. Every month new statistics were released that continued to encourage homebuyers. Now, even after the year has ended, we’re still hearing about the promising figures from months past!
CoreLogic, a corporation that provides insights and information on current real estate and financial trends, produced the statistics in their CoreLogic Home Price Index. According to the index, Delaware home values increased 5.2 percent in November alone. Not only does this continue the upward trend observed in the state throughout the year, but it is the strongest gain in all of 2013.
Laura Ratz, associate economist at Moodys Analytics, believes that this shows the “housing recovery is on track” and says that the uptick could continue through the beginning of this year. How could it not? With communities like Bayside in Fenwick Island, this area is one of the most popular choices for smart home shoppers.
Like we’ve written about before, the Delaware housing market didn’t see the big crash that other regions have had to grapple with. Because of this, there wasn’t as much ground to recovery after the housing crisis. All in all, this shows that the Delaware market is a stable one and one that’s worth buying a home in.
