Saturday, May 5th, Bayside members took part in the Delmarva Ornithological Society’s Delaware Bird-A-Thon. To participate in the Delaware Bird-A-Thon, participants must record all species of birds in one space in a 24-hour period. Bayside Institute coordinated with Delmarva Birding Weekends, Dave Wilson and Jim Rapp, to provide three guided bird-watching experiences throughout beautiful Bayside. Throughout the course of these birding experiences, members identified 58 different birds by sight or sound. This includes the following birds:
