One of the newest reasons bringing pride to the Bayside community is the praise Delaware has received for its exceptional beach water quality, as measured by the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
For the fourth consecutive year, Delaware’s beach water quality ranked first in the country in the “Testing the Waters” Report. The NRDC conducts this study annually, measuring the water quality of all beaches in the 30 coastal states. This year was unique in that measurements were taken with the new and more stringent water quality parameters laid out by the US Environmental Protection Agency, making Delaware’s recognition that much more impressive.
“Delaware’s beaches remain the best in the country not only because of their natural wonder, but because of the commitment of so many to protect them,” says Senator Chris Coons. “Keeping our water clean, beaches healthy, and coastal infrastructure secure is a priority at every level.” Knowing that Bayside is nestled in such a dedicated coastal community certainly makes living here even better!
