Whether we’re creating shopping centers that offer everything you could want in one convenient place or building beach communities that create life-long memories, Carl M. Freeman Companies put the needs and dreams of families first.
In the 1970’s, my late father-in-law, Carl M. Freeman, envisioned Sea Colony, a beautiful beach and tennis resort as a gathering place for families. Four decades later, families still flock to it from all across the mid-Atlantic. Later came The Preserve, The Cove and The Village at Bear Trap Dunes, each offering its own unique combination of natural beauty and world-class amenities.
Now, there’s a new jewel in the Freeman Crown: Bayside.
My association with this company goes back decades, starting at Sea Colony and then as part of the land acquisition team at Bayside. Bayside was my late husband, Joshua’s vision: a state-of-the-art golf community in harmony with nature as a stunning backdrop to Eastern Shore living.
I’m proud to say Bayside is all of that, and much more. Ideally situated in Fenwick Island, just four miles from the beach, Bayside comprises nearly one thousand bucolic acres overlooking the Assawoman Bay and features a master-planned 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Opportunities for family fun and relaxation abound, with community pools, kayaking and paddle boarding, stocked ponds for fishing, delicious dining and special activities for kids of all ages. You’ll also find the Freeman Stage at Bayside, offering an impressive roster of dance, theater, live music and children’s performances, all in your own backyard.
I grew up in Delaware, and it’s my greatest joy to create places for families to enjoy all our state has to offer. As I carry the Freeman legacy forward here at Bayside, I remember how Carl challenged us to provide ways for families to “Live Better.” I encourage you to “Live More. Live Bayside.” I promise you, it’s a beach community like no other.
