OLNEY, MD. January 18, 2010 – Carl M. Freeman Companies announces the promotion of Doug Brown to Vice President, Community Development, responsible for the development of the Company’s residential land assets.

Most recently a Director of Development with Carl M. Freeman Companies, Brown has been a key contributor to the Company’s success of the Bayside resort community near Fenwick Island, DE since its launch in 2004. He has a strong reputation in the industry for understanding regulatory and infrastructure requirements.

Brown earned an undergraduate degree from the University Of Virginia McIntire School Of Commerce and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College of Maryland. Prior to working at the Carl M. Freeman Companies, he worked in numerous leadership roles in the banking industry for 13 years.
