Clubhouse Groundbreaking Event
On Friday May 10th, homeowners, staff, partners, and ownership all gathered together to celebrate the groundbreaking of Bayside’s highly anticipated clubhouse. This facility, at roughly 29,000 square feet, will house the new golf shop, restaurant and bar, golf simulator, event and banquet spaces, and much more. In addition to the groundbreaking ceremony, Michelle Freeman, CEO and President of Carl M. Freeman Companies, unveiled the name of the new restaurant due to replace the existing Cove restaurant – Signatures. The name Signatures was inspired by a story Michelle Freeman recalled of the late Joshua M. Freeman. She explained Josh had a tradition of writing the name, date, and time of every individual he had the pleasure of golfing with on any day, and he would keep every golf ball as a way of expressing his gratitude for their friendship. As as way to remember Josh and to bring a part of him into the creation of this amenity, Michelle asked all who attended to sign a golf ball which would then be placed into a jar within the clubhouse for all to see. We also had several members and staff suggest this name in reference to it’s location on Signature Boulevard and because we’re a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. We’re so excited to be in this new space in 2020! If you haven’t seen the renderings, click here or to book your next event in the clubhouse click here.
Thank you to our members, staff, and partners for joining us on this momentous occasion! We can wait to celebrate with you next year when we officially open the doors!
