This month Golfweek released its annual, “Best Courses You Can Play” rankings to reveal Bayside as No. 1 in the state of Delaware! The Bayside Resort Golf Club features Delaware’s first Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, located just west of Fenwick Island and only a few miles from the beach.
“We congratulate these facilities for being recognized on Golfweek’s list of top courses,” stated Dana Garmany, chairman and CEO of Troon Golf, the world’s largest golf management company. “These facilities continually strive to provide unparalleled golf experiences for their members and guests and we are proud to see them honored by this leading industry publication.”
Courses were graded on a variety of factors including the ease and intimacy of routing, basic quality of conditioning and the variety and memorability of par 3s, 4s and 5s.
Bayside is one of five Troon-managed courses to be top ranked in their respective states. Other No. 1 courses included Lake of Isles (North) in Connecticut, Kapalua (Plantation) in Hawaii, Payne Stewart Golf Course in Missouri and Old Works in Montana.
