The Bayside Institute hosted the DE Center for the Inland Bays Oyster Gardening project. Participants learned all about this important initiative and members of the community will be volunteering to garden the oysters, an effort to restore coastal Delaware waters. The oysters are grown to help protect and restore the waters, not for consumption. James Tully, Shellfish Program Specialist, provided education regarding the importance of oysters in the water and demonstrated how to garden the oysters. Volunteers in the Bayside community will monitor the oysters for a year.
