We are so excited to sponsor the 29th Annual Ocean to Bay Bike Tour on Saturday, April 28th. This is a great event put on by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce and we know many Bayside residents love to participate in this fun day. Below is all the information on the day from the Chamber of Commerce, we will have a rest stop in Bayside for cyclists so even if you do not ride, you can come out and cheer riders on!

Team Check In: If a team opts into a “TEAM PICKUP” all members will be included. It is an all or none option. Team captains will be allowed to check-in all team members. All waivers must be complete with a “WET INK” signature. Please consult your captain on your team’s check-in procedures.

NEW! FRIDAY FUN RIDE
2018 brings the launch of a new event — the Friday Fun Ride! This 15-mile out and back route on Friday, April 27, from 12-4 pm will begin and end in Bethany Beach and take riders along coastal Route 1 to the Indian River Inlet Bridge. While you’re there, enjoy a pit stop at the Big Chill Beach Club and picturesque views of the ocean meeting the inlet. Note: The Friday Fun Ride is offered as a combo option for Saturday cyclists. See pricing info for combo registrants above.
SATURDAY BIKE TOUR QUICK INFO
All routes start and end in Bethany Beach.
All races will feature a ceremonial start at launch of the designated start range.*
-7:00-7:30 am Century Cyclists
-7:30-8:00 am Metric Century Cyclists
-8:00-8:30 am 50 Mile Cyclists
-8:30-9:00 am 30+ Mile Cyclists
*Rest stop and SAG support cannot be guaranteed for cyclists that start after their designated start range.
Completion of the ride is optional.
SAG Wagon support will be available from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
-SAG Wagons will drop cyclist at the CLOSEST REST STOP
-There will be a final ride back to the Post Party Tent only at the close of the rest stop; please have a back up plan!
Rest stops will have restrooms, light snacks, and beverages.
Continue the Tour After Party will run from 12-5 pm with live music, food, and door prizes.
The ride will take place rain or shine; however, if extreme weather is forecasted, the Bike Tour may be canceled. No refunds will be given.
SAFETY 101
All participants must complete an event waiver prior to participating in the ride.
Participants age 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult and must wear a helmet. All participants are expected to obey all traffic laws and Delaware bicycle laws.

Due to the number of cyclists on the roads event day, all cyclists must follow the below schedule to ensure the safety of everyone. Bib numbers must be visible for entry at all rest stops. Stay tuned for 2018 cue sheets, which will detail hours and locations of each rest stop. Final race routes will be emailed prior to event.

EVENT CHECK IN & PACKET PICKUP
All registered cyclists must check in to pick up bibs, event shirts, and sign waivers. All cyclists must be wearing their bib numbers to have access to event support (e.g. SAG wagon, rest stops, emergency services etc.)

VOLUNTEER!
It takes over 150 volunteers in the month of April to make the Ocean to Bay Bike Tour happen. A call for volunteers will launch in January, including detailed information on how you can support this annual, community event. Student volunteers and work incentive volunteers will be provided the necessary paperwork for credit.
