Flooding: How Bad Might it Get? @ The Health & Aquatic Club, Multipurpose Room
Apr 26 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

We review what scientists have learned concerning the causes of Climate Change and its anticipated effects on Sussex County coastal flooding. FEMA looks backwards at historical flooding records to construct flood maps. This approach has a key weakness in accuracy because it does not take into account the expectations for additional flooding frequencies onward into the future. We will look at the latest projections for flooding and then examine some recommended actions that need to be taken. This is an interactive, non-partisan presentation with opportunities for questions and comments from the participants.
