Classic Delaware Beach Fun on the Boardwalk

MD & DE Boardwalks, with their hot dog and french fry stands, amusement rides, games of chance, and fun novelty shops, are as much a part of any trip to the beach as the ocean and the sand.

Bayside is centrally located with boardwalks to the north and south of the community. These boardwalks have their own character and provide fun for young and old.

  • Ocean City Boardwalk - This famous boardwalk dates back to 1902. Now close to 2.5 miles long, the Ocean City boardwalk is home to the country's oldest continuously operating carousel, Thrasher's renowned french fries, and the oldest US Coast Guard observation tower still standing on Maryland's seashore.
  • Bethany Beach Boardwalk - The boardwalk at Bethany Beach is the shortest of the boardwalks in the area at 1/2 mile long. But with concerts at the bandstand and festivals such as the annual Boardwalk Arts Festival, the Bethany boardwalk is an important part of the town's culture.
  • Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk - This mile-long boardwalk was recognized by Reader's Digest as one of the "Best Boardwalks" in America. It is filled year-round with people wanting to take in the sites.
