This “bear” of a par-5 demands a unique blend of power and finesse. The double-dogleg journey starts with a long tee shot to a generous fairway, flanked by a scenic lake on the right and Roy Creek on the left. The second shot is framed by towering pine trees, protected by strategically placed bunkers that will require a risk/reward decision from the golfer. The remaining yardage on the approach shot places a premium on a delicate short iron that must negotiate a cavernous bunker protecting the front of the green. The longest par-5 on the course concludes at a large and undulating green, surrounded by dramatic creek and Assawoman Bay views of the vernacular coastal landscape.
