Sun Ridge Tennis and Recreation Center Opens
SELBYVILLE, DE – July 4, 2006 – Bayside celebrated the July 4th holiday with the opening of its Sun Ridge Tennis and Recreation Center. The new state-of-the-art recreation complex includes a 4,000 square foot outdoor pool, splash zone for kids, whirlpool, tennis courts, fitness facility, tennis pro shop, snack bar, playground and more.
While some members prefer to relax by the pool, others may want to participate in the array of daily activities available throughout the summer season. These include adult lap swims, water exercise classes, tennis clinics and round robins, special picnic lunches, sports on the green, and movies on the green.Members can also sign up for guided nature walks, kayak eco tours and ice cream socials.
Bayside's 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course also offers a variety of activities for its members.Adult and junior clinics are available as are golf lessons on an individual basis.Special events include couples twilight member-guest tournaments, parent-child short course scramble, and the club championship.On August 23, the Philadelphia PGA junior golf series will hold a tournament at Bayside, the first time a golf course in southern Delaware has hosted such an event.The tournament provides a great opportunity for families to come out and watch inspiring play by younger golfers.
