Bayside Breaks Ground on Tennis and Pool Center
SELBYVILLE, DE – January 10, 2006 Bayside, Carl M. Freeman Communities’ waterfront resort golf development, recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a recreational complex that will include tennis courts, outdoor pool, a community center, playground, picnic grounds and more.
Plans call for the new community center to house a fitness facility, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a kitchen, and tennis pro shop, which will also carry items for the pool. Five tennis courts, including a stadium center court, will be built on one side of the community center, while the 4,000 square foot outdoor pool lines the other side of the center. A spa and fun splash zone for kids are also planned.
The tennis and pool center is expected to be open in summer 2006. The new complex will enhance the recreational activities available at Bayside, which is also home to the first Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Delaware. “We are proud to be able to present our homeowners with a growing plan of wonderful amenities not found elsewhere in our market,” said Tom Tipton, Carl M.
