Bayside Honored by Coastal Living Magazine

SELBYVILLE, DE - Jan.5 2006 - Carl M.Freeman Communities' newest waterfront resort and golf development, Bayside has been chosen as a 2006 Coastal Living Award winner for the community's “high environmental standards” and “sensitivity to its coastal enviroment.”

The nationally-recognized magazine annually awards top achieving companies and individuals for projects that “protect and enhance the natural and historic character of coastal areas.” In selecting Bayside, Coastal Living said, “Bayside proves a carefully created community can benefit the enviroment, now and for generations to come.”

The magazine commended Carl M. Freeman Communities for its balance of new homes, amenities and surrounding environment. Bayside's Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and quality homes “were sited to preserve forests and wetlands,” Coastal Living said, and waterfront sites were sacrificed “for shared water views and open space.” The article about Bayside appears in the magazine's January/February issue which is on newsstands now.
